We are proud of our ever-expanding portfolio of projects covering bulk liquid storage and distribution infrastructure, bridge engineering and construction, infrastructure remediation, technical EPCM services and industrial electrical/process automation solutions.Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join the Saunders International team, preferably based at our head office based in Rhodes, NSW on a permanent full-time basis.RESPONSIBILITIESPreparation of estimates and proposal development for various construction and maintenance opportunities in the Defence, Water, Energy, Resources and Industrial sectors. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of estimates and proposal development for various construction and maintenance opportunities in the Defence, Water, Energy, Resources and Industrial sectors.
  • Conduct cost estimating from first principles with the ability to communicate approach to project delivery
  • Participate in the planning and design phases of tender submissions.
  • Contribute to improving estimating policies and systems.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure that our proposals address their requirements and are seen as representing superior value.
  • Identifying new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure proposals are submitted on time and are accurate, comprehensive and competitive.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information.

ABOUT YOU

  • Valid Australian Working Rights
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating, preferably in the construction or heavy industrial sector.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids/estimates simultaneously
  • Proven track record of winning large-scale construction projects through effective estimating and proposal management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work harmoniously with others towards shared objectives.
  • Being flexible and open to different approaches, ideas, and ways of working to meet changing needs.

Desirable

  • Experience in tank building industry
