As part of the Saunders International group, you will support the delivery of construction and maintenance projects with a key focus on one team, one aim - zero harm. The role will see you working within the Asset Services Division, which is based in Redhead, Newcastle. Asset Services specialises in critical boiler maintenance, piping and pressure welding, onsite turnkey outage maintenance and projects delivery. As a part of the team, you would be expected to be available to travel nationally. Whilst this role will initially be a site-based contract in Victoria, there is the potential to lead to ongoing work for the right person. We also encourage interstate candidates to apply and will provide LAFHA, accommodation and travel where required.ABOUT YOUR ROLESupervise a diverse team consisting of boilermaker/welders, rigger/scaffolders, crane drivers & trades assistantsSupervise all maintenance &/or construction activity carried out to ensure efficiency and quality of work within set timelines. Quality and workmanship assurance in accordance with quality management processes and documentationMonitor progress of all work, identify, and make amendments to scope of works in relation to workforce and provide alternatives to work when necessary.Implementation of relevant SWMS, Safe Act Observations, JSAs, Permits, Isolations and Controls to ensure the safety of the team.Workforce planning and forecasting to ensure deadlines are metManage and capture workforce hours and productivityStock control, procurement, and inventory for the direct works on sitePrepare and run toolbox meeting and pre-start meeting with the teamFoster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty, and accountabilityABOUT YOUYou will work with diverse teams and be responsible for creating a safety focused environment.
