We are trusted by Australia’s oil and gas, mining, water and civil infrastructure industries to deliver quality projects safely and on time.We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team constructing fuel storage tanks in Darwin. THE ROLEThis role is responsible for leading safe behaviours and work practices, working with the Project Manager on daily site administration, and coordinating materials, equipment and subcontractors required on site. .Your responsibilities include:Work with the Construction Supervisors to resolve site technical, scheduling and safety problems.Participate in completion of ITPs, weld maps and any other quality records.Advise field staff with reading and understanding the construction drawings.Liaise with drawing & engineering office to resolve technical issues.Ensure all field staff are supplied with the correct tools and equipment to ensure a productive and safe execution of the works.Review method statement and coordinate the approval of any changes.THE IDEAL CANDIDATETo be successful in the role you will have:Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline, preferrably Mechanical.Enthusiasm for the role and commitment to continual improvement and growth of the business.Innovative thinking and approach to commercial and technical aspects of project delivery.Excellent organisation skills.Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.Strong commitment to safety, customer satisfaction and quality.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet targets under pressure.THE REWARDSMarket competitive remunerationFlexible working arrangements negotiable with project requirementsSupportive workplace cultureExposure to resources industrySaunders is an equal opportunity employer.
