Senior Financial Accountant

Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Saunders International team. The role will be based at Saunders International, HQ, Rhodes, Sydney.

The Senior Financial Accountant position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Financial Accounting function and to ensure month-end are close off within the deadline.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial and system processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA) with strong technical accounting background and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial accounting, including balance sheets reconciliation.
  • Experience in GST and FBT return.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Problem-solving skills with a strong track record of critical and analytical thinking.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude, flexible and adaptable.
  • An appetite to develop or change processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the business, with a particular focus on the finance function.
  • Previous experience in leading a small finance team.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

DESIRABLE    

  • Experience in Construction or Engineering Industry.
